sinpoziumOne month until Sinpozium! And there are things to be done! Such as register, if you haven't already, volunteer/suggest content even if you have already, and a very important survey right here.
We really do appreciate people filling this out. Not only does it help people get to know each other before meeting (or meeting again), it helps us a lot for planning purposes, in terms of knowing popular fandoms and what people are familiar with etc. Feel free to skip points that aren't applicable or anything you don't want to answer, of course.

I raqequit both Teen Wolf and Person of Interest, but I might start watching PoI again. For TW, I'm strictly fic-only. I love the Marvel movies, but don't read huge amounts of fic, though Steve/Bucky may change that? I watch Arrow, Elementary (theoretically, am a bit behind) and am catching up on Agents of SHIELD after dying of boredom 2 episodes in.

What was your first fandom? : First fandom I actually started getting involved in was Babylon 5, first slash fandom was X-Files (I ran out of gen and het Krycek fic to read, so checked out this slash thing, cause I'd been under the mistaken impression it involved cutting and bloodplay and violence - as this was XF fandom, I wasn't entirely wrong).
Fanworks/fan activities: reading (and leaving insufficient feedback), watching vids, co-organising Sinpoz, boggling at fanart (cause I can’t even draw stick figures well).
Tell us anything about yourself: I copied much of this from last year’s survey. I don’t know why I added the stress of hockey teams to the stress I already had about my rugby teams. I don’t think there are enough arranged marriage/fake dating stories in the world (never enough).

What was your first fandom?: Original flavour Star Wars! Luke/Wedge for life. Maybe don't bring up the sudden non-canonical status of the EU.
Fanworks/fan activities: Still a beta.
Tell us anything about yourself: I am a lifelong devotee of novel-length angst fics and gratuitous hurt/comfort. Make me cry and I'm yours forever. The first fic I ever wrote concerned the tragic secret home life of Mary-Anne Spier from The Baby Sitters' Club. I vehemently dislike AUs. I continue to make no progress on the unread books pile. Sometimes I crochet until my hands stop working. I like to apply glitter to things.

Current main fandom(s) : Bandom, The Avengers, Teen Wolf and I've been reading quite a bit of Hockey RPF for some reason. I still have zero interest in hockey.
Other significant fandom(s) : Ha. Many, over the years. And I never truly forget about or stop enjoying them. Star Trek, Fast and Furious, Criminal Minds, Prison Break, Glam RPF, Farscape, Doctor Who, Leverage, The O.C., Firefly ... I can't remember them all.
What was your first fandom? : Dark Angel led to my discovery of fanfiction and lurkerdom. CSI and Sara/Sofia led to my first posting of fic and joining of lj.
Fanworks/fan activities: I read fic, lots of it, and meta. Watch a few vids, here and there. I also write but far, far less than I'd like and post even less. I am currently enjoying the fandom_wank archives.
Tell us anything about yourself: I now have two rescue greyhounds and I spend a great deal of time cuddling them and taking them to farmers markets so other people can cuddle them (and so I can buy delicious food.) I decided to make a serious effort to work through the unread books on my bookshelves (and floor) this year and I'm doing pretty well so far (noooo, I haven't added any more books from those marvellous second-hand book sales, why would you say that?), currently in an Australian history phase. This is distracting me from being deeply annoyed by my current state of health which would have something to do with my lack of updating and belated registration for Sinpoz.
Also, I heard a guy discussing gloryholes and twinks in public yesterday. Less than a metre from my sixty-something mother. I nearly expired trying not to laugh before he left.

What was your first fandom? : oof, depends on what you mean by fandom. I think Harry Potter is probably the most accurate answer.
Fanworks/fan activities: I used to write before work took over my brain. I spend too much time on tumblr and yell about football a lot on twitter. (I'm also a football blogger under my real name.)
Tell us anything about yourself: I love 1) smart, scary good guys, and 2) complicated but ultimately balanced power dynamics in a pairing. Ask me about my football feels but be prepared to have your ear talked off.

What was your first fandom? : For fic it was Harry Potter, but I realise now that from how obsessed I was with it as a teenager, from an emotional standpoint it was definitely Buffy. For participating online it was bandom.
Fanworks/fan activities: I've written a couple of shortish One Direction/Radio 1 fics, and I wrote a hockey fic for the Holiday Exchange last year! It was 8K! I still can't believe I did it! I mostly ramble about fics I would like to magically appear in the tags on posts a lot, and I constantly have at least ten gdocs open with fics that just never seem to get written. If I have your mobile number you're also quite likely to get a random text that says "I want a fic where Jonny...." or "AU where Stiles..." at weird moments during the day.
Tell us anything about yourself: I never though I'd be the sort of person who wakes up at 2am in the morning to watch an Olympic ice hockey game, but here we are.
