Very important poll about Sinpozium 2014

Hello, yes, it's time to start planning already. Unfortunately, the meeting space from last year isn't available on the same weekend this year, so we're considering some options.

The two dates we're looking at currently are the Anzac Day weekend (the Friday of which is a public holiday in Australian and NZ) and the Queen's Birthday long weekend (the Monday is a public holiday only in Australia). We want as many people as possible to be able to attend, so please let us know how these weekends work for you, and if you have any questions or additional comments or can't use the poll, please let us know in the comments or at sinpozium(@)gmail.com!

Heyyyyyy, I am thinking that preference for Queens bday long weekend would be better - with anzac day itself there would be transport problems on the friday and a lot of businesses closed so while I would still *go* I think that it might not be the best time to hold it?

(also there is a vague ishy-ness factor in having a slash gathering on anzac day? it is a big deal for a lot of people) (but apparently the queen is fair game idea. idk)

Good points :) If we had it on Friday (and I can see that be problematic), getting into and around city would be painful.
