erilyn very generously suggested I pimp this here, so here goes.

chinashop and I are holding a get together (brilliantly titled get/together) in Wellington the weekend of 26/27th November. It's open to anyone from any fandom, as long as it's slash (how surprising). We were both inspired by how much fun we had at Sinpozium this year, and in some ways the gathering will be similar, though in others it will be quite different. Anyway, I know it's not always as easy to cross the Tasman, but I wanted to extend the invitation.

What else is there to do in that area? Like, for potential tourists who don't drive and don't give a hoot about 'extreme' anything.

Do you mean Wellington specifically? A lot of theatres, museums and art galleries. The LotR tour. Parliament if you're remotely interested in that sort of thing. Some really good bush walks that are easily done in a day or a few hours. The harbour.
