Sinpozium: reading corner

We thought it might be a good idea if everyone brought a story or two to sinpozium.

It could be one of your favourites, something you'd like to share, a rarepair you'd like to promote, or anything that you think someone might like. It doesn't have to be one of your own, although that's great, too. Just something printed out and stapled, nothing fancy - most of us have access to a printer. If not, send it to me or give me the location and I'll do it for you.

If you print out someone else's story, make sure to leave their name and contact details intact, in case someone loves it and wants to send feedback (and to cover our bums in case someone gets offended).

We would then put all of these things in a reading corner at Sinpoz (BYO cushions or beanbags), so that in a quiet moment, or a time when there's something on that you are not interested in, you can flop down and read some porn high quality fiction.

At the end of the weekend, we would encourage people to take away with them whatever they want, thus spreading the porn love all around.

Also...

Feel free to bring along any fanzines you wouldn't mind other people reading. If you bring along a fanzine, make sure that your own details are clearly marked so it can be returned to you. We have never had any problem with zines going missing, although be aware they may get some wear and tear. You could also use this as a venue to try and sell off any zines you want to get rid of.

Um, I have piles and piles of printed fanfiction because i'm a freak I enjoy reading it off the computer. Should I only bring like, my absolute favourite stories or should I bag and staple the whole lot?

Whatever you don't mind losing, I suppose. I mean, bring what you can comfortably carry, but I don't think you can keep track of things once they are released into the wilds of sinpozium, so don't bring anything you can't bare to part with.

Have you registered yet? I haven't seen your name on the list...

I haven't aaaagh. Every time I manage to scrounge up $40 dollars I mysteriously vanish it. I reeeeallly need to get a job again. If i don't make the money within the next copule of weeks I may beg my father with promises of payback etc.

I still don't know when or how my shifts are going to pan out, but if there's a spare half hour in the schedule somewhere, I'd like to pimp Oceans 11/12 :-)

We may have a few spare half hours, but when can you let us know you're coming? Otherwise, we'd need back up time table thingies.

Better just assume I'm not coming, then. If I do manage to get there I'll just skip the pimpage. To be honest, I'm not really willing to pass up public holiday work, it's too well paid.

If it's not too much trouble, would you print out some stories for me? I don't have access to a printer where there aren't prying eyes around.
