A couple of important updates. Firstly, we have a website for Sinpozium 2005. It's simple, but hopefully it does the trick. If you have any questions about the content, I'm the person to ask (and blame mistakes on).
Secondly, as we've booked the function room at the YWCA and paid a deposit, registrations for Sinpozium are now open! Cost is $40 for the weekend (for the function room and any a/v equipment needs). Payment can be made in several ways - cash, cheque, money order or direct bank deposit. I'm not posting the address or bank account details here or on the website, but I have emailed everyone who has already expressed an interest. If I missed you somehow (sorry!), or if you hadn't previously contacted me, just let me know (either here or email me at erilyn @ livejournal.com) and I'll send you the information.
I know it seems like a long way off, but Sinpozium will be here before you know it, so register soon :)
The rough schedule for the months ahead is to start taking registrations now, then early in the new year we'll start to talk accommodation, and then a couple of months before Sinpozium we'll get down to really figuring out the events and activities for the gathering. If you've got questions or suggestions about things now, do ask/post, that's just a rough guide not a hard and fast rule :)

Date: 2004-11-12 02:49 am (UTC)1) How many people usually attend?
2) How big is the venue?
3) What about cosplays?

Date: 2004-11-12 04:56 pm (UTC)1) About 30-35 has been the turnout (as far as I can recall), though 25-30 at one time is about normal, some people can't stay the whole time etc etc.
2) Venue isn't huge, it's a medium sized function room, 60 square metres, seats 50 as a theatre-style setup (but we wouldn't try and get that many people in).
3) Cosplays have never been brought up before, I'm not sure if there's anyone else who's interested (but there sure might be *g*), but I'd love to hear more about them, if someone (hint hint) wanted to bring stuff along and show them off *g*.
