We will need people willing to do stuff on the days of the con.

For example: I'm probably going run a discussion on LJ, and, if I'm still in the fandom at that time, Harry Potter.

We need people to do run discussions or pimp fandoms, or do just about anything to entertain the group.

It's extremely casual. To run a group discussion, all you need to do is get a discussion going - you don't need to give a speach or present anything formal, it's merely to to guide people into ideas. Mostly everyone wants to talk and if you get them into an informal circle, everyone else will do most of the work for you.

To pimp a fandom, just bring in some stuff to do with your fandom (usually a video), and introduce it to us all. Tell us why you like this show. This is always really popular as we all enjoy finding new things to obsess over.

You've got months to think about it, so no hurry now, but we'd love to have you talk about your fandom, an aspect of your fandom, an aspect of writing, or vidding, or anything that interests you and could interest other slashers.

Remember, Sinpoz is not a formal convention, it's an informal gathering of slash friends, and everyone has to be involved to get the most out of it.

I want to pimp a fandom for Sinpoz - I'm happy to help with Harry Potter or do it if you're not into it anymore by next year, B.

I was thinking - how many of our current slashers have been exposed to The Professionals? I know it's an old fandom but it seems to me that the newer fans haven't really been exposed to it much and I'll pimp this oldy but good fandom at Sinpoz if so -- or am I wrong about this?

Meanwhile I'll keep thinking about fan pimpage....

I don't think any one has done Profs before - so that would be great. Linda might be a good information source, too, as she has everything and knows everything about the professionals. No, I am not kidding, she knows EVERYTHING. She won't stand up in front of people, though, so probably information only.

I'm happy to have someone do something else on HP, too.

B asked if I wanted to do my BDSM talk again. I'm happy to, but was a bit worried that people will be bored by it having seen it at the last one. So I'll throw up some topics that can be fic related, and see what the interest is. Feel free to suggest something else bdsm-y that you always wanted to know about.
Bondage - How to tie people up so they can't escape. We get to play with rope.
Cock and ball torture - what you can realistically do to a set of nads without them breaking permanantly.
Inside a sex on premises venue/dungeon - What's in there, and how do they work?

Fisting women - well, perhaps not a demo on that one :-)

I may be able to arrange a visit to a working professional dungeon if there is enough interest.

Why? Because it's a real bugger when reading an otherwise fine bit of fanfic, to come across a totally shite bit of bdsm reference. Like reading about the magic, self lubricating arsehole or icecream tasting come.
