Two days til Sinpozium 2017!

Hi, alasen and I can't wait to see everyone this weekend!

Events will kickoff from 10am on Saturday (we will be there a bit before setting up). Sydney Central YHA (on the corner of Pitt Street and Rawson Place, Sydney), in the function room on level 9. Take the lift to level 8, and then there are stairs to level 9. If the door at the bottom of the stairs is locked, call/text/tweet at us (@alasen and @ozlyn).

We’ve also updated our map of the local area, to give you an idea of what’s available for lunch nearby. We’ll have some printed copies with us on Saturday. If you’d prefer to bring your own lunch, we do have use of the kitchen, and at least one person will be in the room during the lunch period.

If you are coming by public transport, the closest train station is Central.

If you’re driving, we can recommend the following parking:
* St Andrew’s House - prebook for $12-13 per day This is at the back of Town Hall, and a few minutes walk from dinner.
* Cinema Parking - entry before 3pm is $13 for the day, and it’s a little bit closer to dinner than St Andrews.
* 175 Liverpool - prebook for $7.50 per day About 10 mins walk from dinner or the venue, but can be creepy at night. (Don’t take the lifts - walk down the Nithsdale St driveway.)
* Goulburn St - $12 per day. About 10 mins walk from dinner or the venue.

We’ve booked some tables at the Sanctuary Hotel for dinner (this is the same place as the last few years - about a 10-15 min walk from the venue) for anyone who would like to join us. If you can’t make Sinpoz, you’re welcome to come to dinner, but please let us know so we know to expect you :)

Please be aware that there are road closures along parts of George Street and other streets near the YHA, plus additional disruptions/heavy traffic in the evening due to Vivid.
